A recent off-grid solar power project in Cherangani, Kenya, involved connecting six 11 kW solar inverters in parallel to achieve a total output of 66 kW. The energy storage system comprises seven 300Ah, 51.2V lithium batteries with a total capacity of 105kWh, ensuring a reliable power supply.
The solar inverter system efficiently converts solar energy into usable electricity and manages the charging and discharging of the batteries. Solar power is used during the day, while stored battery energy supports continuous operation at night and on cloudy days.
This configuration improves power stability and allows for easy system expansion should additional capacity be required in the future. Lithium battery storage increases energy efficiency and supports long-term off-grid use.
